Liz: Outside there are still below freezing and snow is always announced.As Jewels and I longed for some summer feeling and have at least technically summer fruit brought into the kitchen with ripe,delicious peaches!Since we both come from Munster,where pumpernickel is quite large,we have provided the summery dessert with toasted pumpernickel and swarmed from one continent to others about it!Our conclusion: simple,easy and delicious.Three things that are very sympathetic in the kitchen! It's still freezing outside and both Jewels and I were longing for some summer feeling. At least we Brought it to our kitchens a bit with ripe,yummy peaches. Since we're both from Munster,Which is the home of pumpernickel,we roasted some of it and sprinkled it on top. We were both crazy about this dessert - Jewels in Brooklyn and me in Munster,so it was a complete success! Our conclusion: it's easy,hassle-free and delicious! Three things we love about a recipe! Peach Cream pumpernickel 3 peaches Juice of half a lemon 1 vanilla pod 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 200ml apple juice 500g yogurt 100g creme fraiche 1 tablespoon of honey 150 g Pumpernickel 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1 tablespoon butter The peach seeds and cut into cubes or slices.Together with the lemon juice,cinnamon and apple juice to let it simmer in a saucepan.Meanwhile,scrape out the pulp of the vanilla bean.The pod can be placed in the pot with the peaches.Simmer the whole 5-10 minutes,then remove the vanilla pod. DenPumpernickel crumble and crispy fry with the butter and brown sugar in a pan.Meanwhile yogurt,sour cream,honey and the marrow of vanilla bean stir together. The yogurt with peaches in glass layers and then sprinkle with the Pumpernickeln. Peach Pumpernickel Dessert 3 peaches 1/2 lemon 1 vanilla bean 1/2 tea spoon cinnamon 200 ml of apple juice Yoghurt 500 g 100 g creme fraiche 1 tablespoon of honey 150 g pumpernickel 1 tablespoon of brown sugar 1 tablespoon of butter De-pit the peaches and slice or dice them. Bring to a low boil along with the lemon juice,the cinnamon and the apple juice. Meanwhile the scratch out of the vanilla bean and put to the side. Let simmer for 5-10 minutes. Crumble the pumpernickel bread and fry it in a pan with the butter and the brown sugar until crunchy. Meanwhile mix in the yoghurt,the creme fraiche,the honey and the vanilla bean. Layer the yoghurt with the peaches and the pumpernickel crumble on top.
